Highland Park
Wow a lot changes in Northeast LA in 20 years.
Tropical Juice LA
Tropical Juice LA on Fig in Highland Park seems like the end of an era. Gentrification(I know I brought up the G-word) is still eating through what's left of the original shops(well maybe not original these buildings are a hundred years old) but this juice shop still keeps bringing the good stuff. The bright colorful picture menu looks like a ten-year-old made it, but even in mostly Spanish idiots like me can figure everything out. A straight juice always bangs but the Super Dinamico with Papaya and honey or Tropical Delight are my go-to. Order the large size, you'll regret it if you don't.

Go Get'em Tiger
At one time Gget was one of the best coffee shops in the country. That was a while ago though, expect very expensive small plates but they should still make a tasty drink.

Civil Coffee
What began as an event company moved to a kiosk at Beets by Dre and then to their first brick & mortar in Highland Park. I prefer Kindness & Mischief but you won’t get a bad coffee. 5629 N Figueroa St Los Angeles, CA 90042 818- 238-7262
